    The immersive experience

    45–60 minutes

We gather at the trailhead for an engaging kickoff covering two core modules, setting the foundation and mapping out the framework to help you find your path.

    60–90 minutes

    Hike

We step onto the trail for guided group and peer coaching, creating momentum as we explore key concepts and discuss the day's topics in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

    10–30 minutes

    Fireside

We wrap up back at the base to unwind, reflect on key takeaways, and lock in commitments to prepare you for the session ahead.

    You'll gain elevation.

A tested framework you can turn to again and again, each time you face a crossroads.

The ability to tell a cohesive story instead of fumbling through a fragmented resume.

A clear idea of where to invest next, beyond any quiz, worksheet, or application.

Momentum that only comes from movement, not sitting at a desk or in a conference room.

Relationships that outlast the series, not 200 meaningless LinkedIn connections from a networking event.

It's built for how you process.

    Planners

Basecamp provides the upfront structure and a clear roadmap.

    External thinkers

The Hike offers side-by-side group coaching to move ideas forward.

    Action-oriented learners

Movement and nature boost creativity and quiet mental loops.

    Integrators

Fireside caps each session with concrete reflection so insights stick.

    Different wiring. Same trail.

    Why walking works

Why does this work? The research, briefly.

We didn't just guess that walking helps. It's been studied.

Walking increases creative output by an average of 60% compared to sitting — and the effect holds even indoors, meaning it's the walking, not the scenery.

    (Oppezzo & Schwartz, Stanford, 2014)

A 90-minute walk in nature measurably reduces rumination — the repetitive negative self-talk that keeps people stuck.

    (Bratman et al., PNAS, 2015)

Walking side by side, instead of sitting face-to-face, lowers perceived hierarchy — people report more openness and less guardedness in what they're willing to say out loud. A 2025 pilot trial found outdoor walk-and-talk sessions outperformed indoor conversation on measures of stress and anxiety.

(Jordan & Hinds, 2016; Dickmeyer et al., 2025)

Structured peer coaching groups are shown to increase goal achievement and reduce burnout — the case for a 12-person cohort over a solo course or 1:1 coaching.

(Boyatzis; Mann et al., JAMA Network Open, 2023)

    Is Pathfinder for you?

    Pathfinder is a fit if

    • You're 10+ years into your career and something's shifted.
    • You're in a role, but it doesn't fit the way it used to.
    • You're craving honest conversation.
    • You can commit to three sessions.

If that's not quite you but the idea resonates, apply anyway — every application is reviewed individually.

    Pathfinder FAQ

    Questions people ask before applying.

    Who is Pathfinder for?

Professionals with 10+ years of experience, currently employed, standing at a real crossroads in a large organization. If that's not quite you but the idea resonates, apply anyway — every application is reviewed individually.

Do I need to be in good physical shape?

No. Trails are chosen for easy-to-moderate difficulty specifically so the focus stays on conversation, not endurance. You need to be able to go up and down stairs, walk on uneven terrain, and walk on gravel without assistance.

How many people are in a cohort?

We target 12 participants, working with two consultants and coaches across all three sessions.

What happens in a session, exactly?

Each session has three parts: Basecamp (30–60 minutes of framing and modules), Hike (60–90 minutes of guided group coaching on the trail), and Fireside (10–30 minutes of reflection and commitment).

    Where do the hikes happen?

Hikes are selected and shared upon application acceptance. All hikes are chosen for their sense of escape and immersion in nature, not technical difficulty.

How do I get to the trailhead?

Participants arrange their own transportation to each location.

    What if it rains?

Sessions are held rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. In the event of unforeseen severe or dangerous weather, we work with the group to reschedule.

    Is there a virtual option?

This is an in-person experience only. We may explore virtual options in the future.

What if I'm unable to make a session?

Participants need to plan on making all sessions, as there are no makeups or refunds. However, you will have access to the digital course content and the ability to audit future cohorts.

How do I apply, and what happens after?

Submit the short application. If it's a fit, you'll receive an acceptance email with signup and payment details. If the timing isn't right, we'll let you know and point you to the newsletter so you're first in line for the next cohort.
